The wheel has turned, decades come and pass
Leaving most memories behind
Yet this prophecy has laid its roots inside my mind
And its hold intensifies with time
The pattern pulls us to the South and West
I begin to fear what we may find
A dark figure crests the hill
His cloak denies the howling wind
Fear is an anchor, call your strength to lift it
The hour is nigh
The Old Blood is strong (The Old Blood is strong!)
The Old Blood, it sings
(in the People of the Mountain Home)
Have I found what I seek? (The Old Blood, it sings!)
And will the world be broken
(by one of these three?)
Terror on Winternight
We press onward, no refuge in sight
Accursed city with its decaying walls
Shadow waits within Aridhol
The Old Blood is strong (The Old Blood is strong!)
The Old Blood, it sings
(in the People of the Mountain Home)
Have I found what I seek? (The Old Blood, it sings!)
And will the world be broken
( by one of these three?)
This band, like ashes, scattered to the wind
Must be united to survive
Some rumors lead me toward the ones I seek
While others hint at their demise
When darkness briefly ebbs to bring me peace
I am tormented by the Light
Pale moonlight
Reveals the path to reunite
The time is right
Confusion reigns when the lightning strikes
Golden eyes
The Wheel weaves a new surprise
The Old Blood is strong (The Old Blood is strong!)
Strong enough to shape
the pattern's threads before my eyes
From The Ways, through the Borderlands
and the Blight, to the Eye... to the Eye of the World
Prophecies are fulfilled
at the eye... at the eye of the world
He will wield the one power
at the eye... at the eye of the world
Prophecies are fulfilled
at the eye... at the eye of the world

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli

A Pagan black metal masterpiece.
Folk and black metal elements fuse into one extremely catchy and awe inspiring album. This band does not disappoint from all the high praise sent it's way. Abyssius Murkraken
