I close my eyes, I see the hammer
I feel it swing, heat fills my lungs
The euphoria of creation
Is now only a memory
No time for rest, nor for reflection
I must protect. I must defend.
I've seen my family slain
No home for me remains
(shadows follow me)
Feel I cannot escape
The scent of fear and pain
(shadows follow me)
I bring a painful end
To those who seek revenge
(shadows follow me)
I lay my hammer down
Carry an axe to war now
Only one path
Is lain for my fate
I feel myself transform
Prepare to claim my prey
Each day shall bring only new darkness
I must unleash. I must attack!
War has come
The battle brought to us
Defend our land
Crush your fears, make a stand
I've seen my family slain
No home for me remains
(shadows follow me)
Feel I cannot escape
The scent of fear and pain
(shadows follow me)
I bring a painful end
To those who seek revenge
(shadows follow me)
I lay my hammer down
Carry an axe to war!

never been a big death metal fan but this is actually super accessible for the genre, has fun concepts, and personally i'm always a fan of albums with short tracklists and huge runtimes (for individual songs) Great time, good jumping on point for newbies too. alienasu

I dig this album so much, definitely a keeper. Subtly and masterfully mixing death metal subgenres, backed with an over the top production. They're true professionals. Can't wait for their next release! doive

I'd say Havukruunu is the rightful holder of the Crown and the mantle of Quorthon. Epic choirs, vikingesque themes and tales from the other times, of the Finnish paganism back in the days before our ancestors were brought to the cross and forced to kneel while feeling the bloody sword of saviour on their throats made to kiss the hand of murderers who burnt thousands, tore down our holy places and took our holy days. Eyes teary I listen to these songs, never forgiving the crimes of the cross! Peikonmieli

A Pagan black metal masterpiece.
Folk and black metal elements fuse into one extremely catchy and awe inspiring album. This band does not disappoint from all the high praise sent it's way. Abyssius Murkraken
